Pav Friday @ The Pavillion Bar, Trinity College
What better way to kick off your weekend than head to the Pav for some tunes and some cans? DUDJ and Trinity Ents are back this semester to get your weekend off on the right foot. Expect lovely tunes from the best disk jockeys Trinity college campus has to offer. Summer isn’t over until the last can of Prazsky is cracked while the sun is still shining at 6, right?

Dublin Vegfest @ Griffith College
The annual vegetarian and vegan food festival returns to Griffith College on South Circular Road this Saturday. Whether you are a devoted veggie or just looking to sample some greener fare, this is the perfect place to spend your weekend. There will be talks, free samples and (of course) some seriously tasty food on offer.

Forbidden Planet’s 30th Birthday
This one is for all you comic fanatics out there. This Saturday marks 30 years for Forbidden Planet’s Dublin store. As part of the celebration, there will be raffles, giveaways and a whole lot more in store. To be in with a chance of having your cake (yes, there will be cake) and eating it too head along from 9am on Saturday.
This one is sure to draw a crowd so get down early to avoid disappointment!

Girl Band Album Launch @ Token
Dublin noise rock outfit Girl Band will be doing an in-store signing and a show as part of the launch of their new album The Talkies.
The store signing takes place at the R.A.G.E on Fade Street from 7:30pm.
Afterward you can head on down to Token in Smithfield for a taste of what the lads have cooked up for this hotly anticipated release. This one is sure to blow your socks off!
The gig kicks off at 10:30pm and runs until late.
There’ll even be complimentary Jameson on the night!

If you’re looking for somewhere to dance the night away, Derry DJ Orlagh Dooley (Or:la) and New York acid house man Mike Servito will be taking over both floors of Yamamori Tengu this Friday.
Servito will be sure to be blasting out some serious tracks up in the Kaizen bar while Dooley proves why she’s one of the DJ world’s rising talents downstairs.

PROBE @ Front Square, Trinity College
For all the inquisitive minds out there, Trinity’s Front Square will host PROBE – a night in celebration of European scientific research. Run as part of European Researchers’ Night and in conjunction with Trinity’s Science Gallery, this event aims to invite members of the public to engage in ongoing research.
There will be live experiments, demonstrations and interactive exhibits with plenty for everyone to enjoy!
