Last week, the Union of Students in Ireland (USI) and Conradh na Gaeilge launched the Gníomhaí Gaeilge scheme. This will support third-level students and representatives who promote the use of Irish at their colleges.

“Conradh na Gaeilge and the Union of Students in Ireland have been working with the Irish language societies and Irish Language Officers in third level colleges to develop, strengthen and expand them since 1998,” says Niall Comer, President of Conradh na Gaeilge.

There are four parts to the new scheme: Mentoring, Training, Certification and Awards.
