We all love a glow- and there’s nothing better than an excuse to dip your face in highlighter. This springtime, ditch the cream contour palettes and strobe your face away- it’s all about dewy skin and a natural, beautiful glow. Being a makeup addict, I pulled together my top five favourites for you to try this season.

1) MAC’s Soft And Gentle:

A cult classic. This beautiful marbled highlighter sits pretty from the fairest to the darkest of skin tones. When layered, it can create a blinding effect, but just one dusting creates a natural, sunkissed glow. Although it has tiny glitter particles in it, this MAC’s SkinFinish gives life and radiance to the face. It’s perfect for days when you feel like ditching your foundation, but adding a touch of highlighter.

2) Sleek’s Solstice Highlighting Palette:

If a highlighter list doesn’t contain this palette, then it’s not a highlighter list. I can’t decide what I love most about it, the pricepoint, the pigmentation, the variety, or the fabulous gold packaging it comes in. I bought this palette in 2015, before all the hype- and I haven’t bought another highlighter palette since. It contains four shades, a cream, a light powder and two *blinding* marbled shades. The cream and the banana shade are perfect for days when a striking glow isn’t really needed, but still give a beautiful radiance to the skin. However, for days when you do want your cheekbones to be seen from space, give the lavender and peach marbled shades a go.

3) Custom FX Custom Enhancer Drops:

Beware: this is no natural glow. The Custom FX drops are liquid highlighter drops, which can be dabbed straight on to the cheekbone. However, for a subtler effect, a tiny little drop should be mixed in with foundation, for skin that radiates and oozes health. If you have dry skin, this will be a real treat to get that moisturised glow to the skin- however, don’t overdo it, otherwise your entire face will become the sun. If you’re off out, place a few drops on a beauty sponge and dab it on your shoulders, collarbones and shins for gorgeous, glowing skin.

4) Revolution’s Baked Highlighter in Rose Gold Lights:

Kill two birds with one stone and get yourself a highlighter that is also a blush. Much like MAC’s blush in Style, Revolution Cosmetics have a range of baked blushes, that also carry a subtle glow. The one I love is Rose Gold Lights, which is a soft formula, in the most pretty pink shade. For days when you may not want to wear a highlighter, a blush with colour, or even highlighters with colour, like Jeffree Star’s Skin Frosts, are the ones to opt for. These will give some colour, while also adding a dash of radiance.

5) The Balm’s Mary Lou-Manizer:

If there was ever a product with a better name, I’ve yet to find it. Oodles of makeup artists swear by this powder for brides, as it gives the prettiest, softest glow with is noticeable, but doesn’t over do it. This is exactly what springtime makeup is all about, elements which don’t over do your features. Probably one of the best highlighting powders on the market, it comes in a pretty compact with a big mirror. The Mary-Lou family has now expanded to two other shades for darker ladies, and gives a soft, pale glow without any yellow or orange undertones.
