October first marks the official beginning of Spooky Season, and we are so ready for it.
Over the last week, there has been a particular drop in temperatures and all of a sudden, it feels like Halloween is so close.
To celebrate this wonderful holiday, here is the first list of small Irish businesses that are selling festive items.
Rotten Rouge

From prints to tote bags, spooky masks and beyond, Rotten Rouge’s Autumn ‘21 line has all you need for Halloween. The first round of items dropped on September 21st, but there will be a full restock and more items released on October 1st.
There are a number of different styles to choose from when it comes to masks, with aliens, pumpkins, ghosts and skulls available.
Tote bags with gourds, skulls and autumnal scenes of Stephen’s Green were also released as part of this line.
While you’re at it, why not pick up a few of Rotten Rouge’s prints? There are a number of paintings of Dublin and its bright lights that will make you feel like you’re there in the moment, as well as detailed dotwork pieces.
My personal favourite from this collection is the Skeleflower mask.

I mean, need I say any more?
Well, I will anyway because Cauldron Candles’ stock is to die for!
This Cavan-based business has a variety of categories on their website including wax melts, burners, incense, homewares and greeting cards. Their Halloween collection has the spookiest items that would go perfect with a cosy evening.
Wax melts come in the shape of pumpkins, spell books and skulls, while there are a number of spooky candles including their Triple Moon Cauldron Candle. As well as this, you can also bag a number of candle holders in the shape of pumpkins, ghosts and much more.
There are also a number of miscellaneous items including teaspoons with creepy faces, cauldron mugs, hanging signs and these cool geode skulls.

This shop’s Instagram bio really says it all, with “Treats for spooky babes and witchy souls”.
Not only does this seller do custom pieces, but they also have a number of other products that are perfect for all your spooky needs. Each piece is both quirky and super cool.
For spooky homeware, check out their Boo or Pumpkin coasters. If stickers are your thing, this Devil Donald piece is the perfect addition to your collection.
I love these Tim Burton character pendants. Framing Harley Creations will also make up a pendant with any other character you want. I’m thinking Scooby Doo.
