We are proud to announce that the European Commission has returned to sponsor the ‘European Commission Award for Journalism relating to European Issues’ at this year’s National Student Media Awards (Smedias). This award will be given to the student who has written and published the best article relating to EU affairs. The applicant will also be awarded a cash prize of €1000 and publication in a regional or on-line newspaper
The European Commission is an institution of the European Union, responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU. The National Student Media Awards is honoured to have such an important institution sponsor this category.
