Robert Downy Junior, Benedict Cumberbatch, now Henry Cavill joins the list of 21st century Sherlock Holmes. The English actor is best known for playing Clark Kent aka Superman and for his role opposite Armie Hammer Guy Ritchies The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Unlike Downey Junior and Cumberbatch, however, Cavill will not be playing the title character in this film. Instead, the film is set to focus on Enola Holmes, who will be portrayed by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown. Enola is Sherlock and Microfts younger sister. Enola is also a top detective so expect more murder mysteries and what not.
The always excellent Helena Bonham Carter is set to play Enola’s mother while the film will be directed by Fleabags Harry Bradbeer. It’s been so far, so good when it has come to modern Sherlock adaptions so Bradbeer and co will have to live up to some pretty high standards.
