RTE2 are looking for new Television Presenting talent. To this end the National Student Media Awards are delighted to announce, for the return of: The RTE2 New Voices Award. All National Student Media Award winners will be announced at the Smedias on the 7th April at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
RTE2 are looking for new, young presenters who add to the diversity in Irish broadcasting, in a way that more accurately reflects contemporary Irish life. In particular, RTE2 is interested in groups and individuals are who currently under-represented in Irish broadcasting.
To be in with a chance to win this prize, students are invited to record and submit a showreel, piece the camera, mock interview or even just a brief video as to why they could be the next big Irish presenter. Upload the video to Youtube, Vimeo, or a similar video hosting site and send in the link to admin@generationy.ie.
The video DOES NOT have to be professional, you can use your smartphone or whatever other recording equipment you like!
Please make sure to include your name, phone number, email address and the college you are currently attending. The showreel should be no longer than 2-3 minutes in duration and should highlight your reporting and/or presenting skills (including pieces to camera or interviews).
