Series 2 of smash hit comedy TV show The Young Offenders has begun filming in Cork. The Young Offenders is produced by Vico FIlms, made for BBC Three, in association with RTÉ. Peter Foott is the creator of the show with Martina Niland (Once, Sing Street) and Tim Whitby (Gap Year, Shameless) producing. Series 2 follows on from hugely successful BBC Three series and box office smash feature film.
The second series of The Young Offenders brings back all the characters that have become so beloved by audiences including Conor and Jock (Alex Murphy and Chris Walley); Mairéad (Hilary Rose); Principal Walsh and his wife Orla along with their two daughters Linda and Siobhán (PJ Gallagher, Orla Fitzgerald, Demi Isaac Oviawe and Jennifer Barry); Sergeant Healy (Dominic McHale) and of course Billy Murphy (Shane Casey). Series 2 will be broadcast later in 2019.
