A new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been released.
J.J. Abrams had recently disappointed Star Wars fans when he revealed that there would be no more trailers for the highly-anticipated film, but this has quite quickly turned out not to be the case. Whether he was being deliberately misleading so that he could surprise them or the demand was so high that he made another is unclear. But I don’t imagine that the die-hard Star Wars fans will care, as long as they get more footage.
This trailer focuses on the leading character of Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, and offers far more insight into the story than has previously been seen, and makes the direction of the film pretty blatant, so if you are a die-hard Star Wars fan (or “Trekkie”, as they like to be called), then you may want to give it a miss.
The trailer was uploaded to Disney Japan’s YouTube account, so any text shown is in Japanese. However, the dialogue is all in English, so you should be able to follow the story. At least as much as you can follow the storyline of a sequel to 6 films that came out decades ago and features an evil cyborg who fathers incestuous twins.
