Fashion Week is finally back and today I will discuss some of the most interesting shows in both Milan and Paris. These two weeks of full-on immersion in fashion have brought very peculiar looks and some new brand introductions.

Starting with Balenciaga, which never fails to draw numerous audiences, stuck to its usual dark and “matrix like” pieces, showcasing the newest collection through a show that welcomed a-listed models, such as Tyra Banks, Jessica Alba and Alessandra Ambrosio. The show itself was very interesting, although many people discussed on the internet that it was “boring”. On another note, Vivienne Westwood’s show was all about drama! The show presented a new collection which caused a bit of controversy. The lack of political statements which was characteristic of Vivienne’s brand back in the 90s caused a lot of dicussion on the internet. However, the new collection presented some great pieces, featuring mostly browns and reds for the fall/winter season of 2025.

To set the bar even higher, the Canadian twins Dean and Dan Caten, directed a very energetic and unique show, opening with the now Grammy-winner artist Doechii. Dsquared2 is well known for its “vintage” looks, featuring pieces like low rise jeans, fur hats and coats and denim thigh boots, setting a vibe that was more of a streetwear Brooklyn style from the 90s. The show presented a series of unique pieces and many famous models such as Amelia Gray, Alex Consani (who won model of the year in 2024), Jasmin Wijnaldum and many others. Among the stars, we can also see that rapper NLE Choppa made an appearance, and left everyone stunned with his performance.

This season’s fashion weeks have seen many different introductions, such as Chanel’s new collection, which finally, as some say, brought the old look and vibes of the late 90s and early 2000s.
Overall, during this season I sensed a feeling of nostalgia towards the late 90s styles, which has partially been brought back by both Chanel and Dsquared2.
