Independent musician Mike Scala will be returning to Ireland for 4 shows around the country as part of his 2015 world tour.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Mike began touring his music in 2009 and has performed in 150 cities and 17 countries while selling over 28,000 albums in the process. Mike, along with a four-piece band behind him, consisting of guitar, bass, drums and saxophone, will be hitting up venues all around the country this September.
02.09 – DUBLIN MERCANTILE 9pm
05.09 – DUNMORE EAST SPINNAKER BAR 9pm
10.09 – CORK CRANE LANE 9pm
12.09 – GALWAY MONROES 9pm
In past tours Mike shared the stage with bands such as One Republic, The John Butler Trio and The Coronas.
Mike will be touring with his new single Stratosphere, which debuted earlier this summer. The single takes a step away from the more familiar acoustic rock sound of his previous albums. It includes infectious pop hooks and electronic synths, combined with clean picked guitars reminiscent of some of Imagine Dragon’s softer songs. Even with a change in style, Mike has still been able to express his unique personality that fans will be familiar with from his past work.
This may be the last time for fans to catch Mike live in such intimate venues as recently he has been scouted by some of the music industry’s top Grammy nominated producers such as Angelo Caputo and Adrian Newman who have worked with big names such as Avicii, Katy Perry, and Michael Franti.
You can listen to Mike’s music on Spotify or you can purchase from iTunes.
