After a promising 14 second teaser was released earlier in the week, fans of both James Bond and Sam Smith can finally hear the new theme tune “Writing’s on the Wall”.
Sam Smith apparently wrote the Spectre theme tune in less than 20 minutes, and is the first male British solo artist to sing a Bond theme since Welshman Tom Jones gave us his thunderous Bond theme for 1965’s Thunderball.
“I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations.
“I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”
We’ll leave you with this:
“I’ve been cast as a policeman in the new James Bond film” “In Spectre?” “No, just a constable”
