Kelly Bishop is a well-known dancer and actress. She was born on the 28th of February 1944 in Colorado Springs. When Kelly turned eighteen years old in 1962, she moved to New York to progress her career as a ballet dancer. She has been in multiple plays, TV shows, and films, as she has over six decades in the show business. Her most famous roles include when she played Emily an elegant grandmother to Rory Gilmore in Gilmore Girls and the sequel Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. In A Chorus Line, the Broadway show, she played Sheila Bryant, and later won a Tony Award for her acting. Bishop was also a character in Dirty Dancing as Marjorie Houseman, the mother of Jennifer Grey.
