The SMEDIAs are delighted to continue the category of Travel Writer of the Year with Fáilte Ireland in this year’s SMEDIAs!
The award will be sponsored by Fáilte Ireland, who works to support the long-term sustainable growth in the economic, social, cultural and environmental contribution of tourism to Ireland.
They work in partnership with Government, State agencies, Local Authorities, representative groups and industry, to develop tourism across Ireland by creating destination development plans and networks, and investing in infrastructure, activities, visitor attractions and festivals.
Submission Guidelines:
Submissions for the Journalism Relating to Travel Category will be taken in the form of written articles, blog posts or videos. Students are required to submit one piece related to travel, preferably focused on travel in Ireland. The pieces must be produced for student journalism or be the work of a full time student.
Submissions open 26th February 2024 and close 7th March 2024.
