He received a Bachelor of Commerce from UCD in 2012 and married his wife, Laura Priestly, in 2013, with whom he has three children.
He became incredibly famous for being a rugby legend. He started his senior career in 2013 when he started playing for Leinster until 2013 when he began playing for Racing 92. After two years, he returned to Leinster until 2023, when he retired.
He also played rugby internationally; in 2004, he was recruited by Ireland Under 18s; a year later, he moved to Ireland Under 21s. Between 2007 and 2009, he played for Ireland A. Since then, he played for the official rugby team for Ireland until 2023. However, between 2013 and 2017, he played for the British and Irish Lions.
As Johnny Sexton claimed fame, he never forgot to give back to charity. In 2009, he became an ambassador for Make-A-Wish in Ireland, where he granted wishes to severely sick children. Johnny also launched several campaigns to fundraise for Make-A-Wish.
On the 10th of October 2024, Johnny Sexton published an autobiography called Obsessed:The Autobiography. He goes into detail about his life and how he became a rugby legend, which has been a life goal of his since he was a child. He helped his teams to win four Six Nations championships, two Grand Slams, four European Cups, a New Zealand series win, the World Player of the Year and helped Ireland become number one in rugby worldwide twice.
This novel also entails Sexton’s journey to finding himself as he struggled with self-doubt and the life lessons he encountered as a teammate and captain.
