If there are two things the internet loves, they would be Harry Potter & kittens, so it was only a matter of time before somebody combined the two.
The wonderful people over at The Pet Collective have recreated all eight Harry Potter films using kittens, or rather, one kitten loads of times and a bunch of teddies and stuff too, and the results are pretty fantastic.
Even if you’re one of those people who thinks cats are evil (Hitler had a similar stream of thought, but even he loved animals. Let that sink in for a moment), the video is pretty hilarious simply for the quality of the reproduction, and the fact that the little kitten has no clue who Harry Potter is or why people are holding it up next to sketchy drawings of brooms.
Unfortunately, the recreation does not add up to about 19 hours of viewing time, as they are not done scene by scene. Still, there are merits to be had in cutting it down to a more manageable 7 minutes, although much of the character development does get lost. So if you haven’t seen any of the Harry Potter films, I would advise that you do not watch this until you have.
If Harry Potter isn’t your cup of tea, get out. Seriously, go away. But if you enjoyed the kittenous recreation, you can rejoice in the fact that The Pet Collective have recreated a number of major films with kittens. Among their archives are such classics as Toy Story, Scream, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Annie, Ghostbusters, and X-Men. They also have a number of newer films, such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Lego Movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Frozen (obviously).
The complete filmography of The Pet Collective’s remakes can be found here. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the have about 45 playlists and have made loads of these movies, they haven’t compiled them into a single playlist, which means I had to conduct a search myself and then copy the link. You’re welcome.
