Steven Gaetjen, presenter at the Goldene Kamera awards in Hamburg on Tuesday night announced “Men hold on to your wives and wives hold on to your men, here is the one and only Ryan Gosling”.
However, it wasn’t THE Ryan Gosling who came to accept yet another award for La La Land, but instead was Ludwig Lehner, a chef from Munich, who accepted the award unfazed while Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman and other A-list stars were a mix of amused and genuinely confused in the audience.
This all happened because of two comedians Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf who created the stunt by creating a fake agency claiming to have Ryan on the books and stated Ryan happened to be in Hamburg at the time for a commercial and was available for the show.
In a YouTube video documenting the prank, they claimed that organisers responded to them within 90 seconds.
Although it was clear Ludwig bears only a resemblance when you stand far away, close your eyes and then imagine the actual Ryan Gosling… it still left the organisers red faced but they can sleep better knowing they will never live up to the Oscars massacre circa 2017!
