A couple of students in Dublin have, in aid of Focus Ireland, come up with a fantastic and festive way of making a positive difference for the homeless people of Dublin this Christmas.
‘Festive Fiction Finding’ involves the hiding of hundreds of second-hand books, donated by the public being hidden around the city. The books are all gift-wrapped in Christmas paper and are labelled with the Focus Ireland insignia. They also contain a note encouraging you, in exchange for finding yourself one of these lovely gifts to donate €2 by text to Focus Ireland, so you can do your bit to help the homeless.
What’s more is that every person who donates this way will be entered into a draw to win some fantastic prizes, including vouchers from Film Base, The IFI, Cornucopia, Tola Vintage, Murphy’s Ice Cream, Queen of Tarts, Lemon Crepes and many more. All you need to do is screenshot your donation and post proof to their Facebook page.
So if you are out and about in Dublin over the next few days and see a mysterious festive parcel lying about, get over to that thing and help someone who needs it this Christmas.
