We are now heading towards the end of the summer and autumn will soon slowly approach us.
As the leaves start to fall from the tree, some of you will begin to wonder the same question; “what do I wear today?”
To prevent this tragic event, I will share a list of fashion trends/items that I think will be essential to stay stylish this autumn and winter in 2024.
To start, I think it is important to have a moment to think about what are the most important colours to wear this winter.
Like last year and many previous autumns, warm colours are in for the cold seasons of 2024. However, there is one particular colour that is becoming again very popular among fashion enthusiasts: Burgundy.
It is not only trending because of the famous burgundy bags, but also a lot of people started to wear burgundy tops, such as cardigans and long sleeves as well as burgundy shoes such as heels and flats. In addition, other warm colors are trending for this 2024 autumn, such as chocolate brown, especially in pieces like warm sweaters and cardigans.
Another item that will be trending, and that has been trending for the past year is leopard print, in all its forms.
From the blouses to the famous leopard print denim jeans, and with loads of accessories and shoes that featured this famous pattern, leopard print will definitely be a wardrobe essential.
This season the signature clean girl look is making way for more of a messy girl vibe, where the main hairstyles are messy buns, and loose braids or simply just claw clips.
I believe this is the time when the classic Bridget Jones era comes back, and there is less attention to perfection and more of a “planned messiness”.
In this regard, baguette bags aren’t as “in” as the famous big city bags. These can hold so many things that you will probably lose your chihuahua in it.
However, despite this jump from reaching for perfection to this messy look, I believe that the classic Sporty chic style will never die.
This is also the Carrie Bradshaw season, where we are always wearing heels and a dress for every occasion. In this season, I believe that there will be a lot of heels involved, particularly the kitten heels which are trending a lot this summer as well. I believe that they will keep being on trend because they give class and elegance to a boring look.
Another look that is trending right now and that I think will carry on during the autumn is bloomer shorts.
They are the current hottest summer trend, and I believe they will be kept on as the autumn comes. Along with the bloomers, a good pair of boots will never go wrong for winter and fall. Biker boots are really trendy and comfortable for autumn, in all colors, and all lengths!
