Exam season is here which means you probaly should pick up a book every now and then. Shocking, I know!

If you’re looking for some study methods to try get you started then here are some suggestions.

1: The Blurt Method

This involves taking a piece of paper (or whiteboard) and blurting out everything you can remember about your chosen topic or theme. This shows you what you already know to avoid wasting time. It also reveals the gaps in your knoweldge showing you what to concentrate on. Go back to your notes and fill in the gaps to refresh your memory.

2: Flashcards

Make a set for each of the key topics you need to know. Write key facts on them, key terms you need to know, or vocabulary if you’re studying langauges. They are a great option if you’re looking to test yourself or they can be used for others testing you. Flashcards are also small and light, making them a great option for studying on the go.

3: Teach the Material!

They say active recall is key for memorising when studying. Teaching others can be a great method for this. Recall what you’ve learnt to your friends, family, roommates, or teddies if you’re stuck. This will also show you how well you undesrtood the material by trying to explain it to someone else.
