For as long as anyone can remember, Electric Picnic has become a core part of any student’s summer plans, and it acts as a sufficient way to wrap up the holidays and end it on a high. Bambie Thug

Cork Native and Ireland’s Eurovision finalist Bambie Thug is making an appearance at this year’s festival, after gaining popularity as a representative for Ireland in this year’s Eurovision song contest. Bambie Thug has been praised for their unique persona and approach to the pop genre citing their music style as hyper pop meets electro-pop combining an edgy and innovative style that is not typical of the genre. Bambie Thug has been identified for their staging visuals and immaculate stage presence which will inevitably be received well at a high scale festival such as Electric Picnic before they embark on their solo Ireland tour later this year. Bambie Thug will take to the Rankin’s Wood stage on Sunday at 4.30pm.

Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue, the Princess of Pop is making her grand return to Ireland by boasting an iconic headlining slot as she closes this year’s festival ending the show on an indisputable high. Kylie Minogue is known for her chart-topping hit singles that always received well by fans with the likes of “Padam Padam” and “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” which are almost certain to be a hit with the audience at this year’s festival as her energetic and fun pop music invite the audience to dance and sing along. If her energetic stage presence is any indication than it is almost certain that attendees will have the time of their lives at this year’s festival. She is the final act to perform at this year’s festival, taking to the main stage on Sunday at 10.30pm.

Loreen

Loreen is back to Ireland with an appearance at this year’s Electric Picnic song contest. Her career has had many highs including solidifying herself as the first female contestant to win the Eurovision twice making her one not to be missed. With her headline gigs selling out in a matter of minutes, Loreen has established an admirable name for herself and proven that there is a strong demand for her fantastic live performance. Loreen performs at Electric Picnic before embarking on her own headline tour which makes this a fantastic opportunity to get to know the artist before witnessing her live in Dublin next year. Her fans share admiration for her contagious energy on stage which sees her as a future superstar. Loreen knows how to attract a crowd and certainly will become one to remember at this year’s festival. Whether you are there to witness heavenly vocals or her miraculous charisma than Loreen is the artist for you. She is performing on Saturday at 7.45pm on the Rankin’s Wood stage.

Moncrieff

Rising Irish star, Moncrieff is here to make himself known to the crowds as he joins this year’s starring Electric Picnic line-up. With the seal of approval from Elton John and a prior gig as Adele’s backup vocalist, the future looks promising for the Waterford native. Moncrieff has garnered recognition for his emotive work exploring themes of loss and heartbreak. In recent times, he has secured many festival slots introducing the public to his creative style of expression. With his live performances boasting energy and lots of movement combined with immaculate vocals, attendees without a doubt will be up on their feet and living right in the moment at this year’s Electric Picnic. Moncrieff may be in the preliminary stages of his career but there is a bright future ahead for this young singer. What better way to introduce yourself to this artist than to watch them perform live at this year’s Electric Picnic. Moncrieff will be performing on the Electric Arena stage on Saturday at 5.45pm.

Noah Kahan

Electric Picnic welcomes international superstar Noah Kahan as this year’s first major headliner at Ireland’s most beloved music festival. Noah Kahan has been making waves as of late, securing himself a devote fandom who express interest in his music. Kahan boasts a likeable persona on the stage securing himself as a young star in the making drawing attention to his creative talent often incorporating instruments on stage whilst his young fans scream the lyrics back at him. His viral songs including “Stick Season” and “All My Love” are bound to be received well as they created an ecstatic atmosphere live in which both young and old can enjoy. Rising star Noah Kahan will perform this Friday at 10.45 p.m on the main stage at Electric Picnic. Make sure to not miss out!
