Eddie Murphy has come a long way since his gay-bashing, misogynistic 80’s comedy.

After a string of ill-conceived ‘family friendly’ comedies that reinvented the term box office bomb and some widely reported consorting with hookers of the transgender variety, Eddie’s career since the mid 90’s has been checkered at best.

And though he’s no stranger to music – hell, he once took over the charts with a memorable duet with one Rick James, bitch! – this seems like a strange turn, even for Eddie Murphy.

A reggae track. For the life of us, we cannot tell whether this is a joke or not.

Judge for yourself…

He’s a perfectly adequate singer, no-one’s saying otherwise, but perhaps he’s better served at using that voice for impressions.

Like the olden days…
