Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan, best known as Clare Devlin in the hit Channel 4 sitcom has revealed how she nailed the Derry accent.
Nicola, who appeared along with fellow Derry Girls stars, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Louisa Harland, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell and Dylan Llewellyn on The Late Late Show on Friday night, revealed how she picked up the Derry accent, from none other, than former ‘Girls Aloud’ singer Nadine Coyle and the famous ‘password’ clip.
Whilst telling Tubs about the gas story, she launched into Nadine Coyle’s “passport moment” on command and unprompted, including that pause when Coyle realized she’s given the wrong date of birth.
