Yes ladies and gentleman, with the new Year now in full swing and the last of the Christmas decorations being boxed off for another year, we enter the glamorous award season yet again. To kick off the festivities, the Golden Globes brought out Hollywood royalty in full force. In the wake of what can only be known as a year of mourning the greats, from the deaths of Bowie to Reynold’s; Prince to Fisher, 2016 saw many stars lose their light. Yet, the biggest and brightest stars walked the red carpet to celebrate the best in television and film, with some questionable fashion choices, the definition of couple goals, and one or two hiccoughs, Golden Globes 2017 did not disappoint.
To kick off the recap reel here are the five best dressed at the Globes 2017:
1) Ruth Negga, wearing Louis Vuitton:
The ‘Loving’ star, stunned on the red carpet in a metallic gladiator-esque look, with sleeked back hair and daring eye makeup. Her dress is by none other than designer to the stars, Louis Vuitton.
2) Sarah Paulson, wearing Marc Jacobs:
Winner of the award for best actress in a Limited series. The People vs OJ: American Crime story actress, was speechless upon receiving the coveted honour. She looked mesmerising in a gorgeous gold gown by Marc Jacobs.
3) Emma Stone wearing Valentino:
This girl can do no wrong, the star of ‘La La Land’, graced the red carpet with her presence wearing a beautiful embellished Valentino Gown.
4) Meryl Streep, wearing Givency:
The recipient of the Cecil B.Demille Lifetime achievement award, looked fierce and fabulous in the bejewelled Givency Gown.
5) Claire Foy, wearing Erdem:
The leading lady in Netflix’s original series, ‘The Crown’, looked like royalty on the red carpet, in a shimmering Erdem gown.
