As students across the country are powering through midetrms, it’s important to still make time for yourself and to look after your mental health. Here are 3 tips for minding your mind.

Mindfulness Colouring

Mindfulness colouring is a great to relex while studying. You can spend as long or as little doing it as you want and can even bring it with you to libraries or any study spots you might be in. You can buy speficic midnfulness colouring books in bookshops or you can print off free templates from online.

Journaling

Journaling is a great way to clear your head during busy times. You can do it in many different forms. You can write your thoughts in a dedicated notebook, in a dedicated word document, or even in the notes app on your phone. If you find yourself really enjoying it you might want to purchase a premade journal or a set of journal prompts to guide you along the way. The Head Plan is an Irish Company that specialises in these products if you’re looking for inspiration!

Exercise

Old fashioned but tried and tested! Moving your body is a great way to relieve stress. You don’t need to go to the gym or run a marathon (though both are great), simple workouts that you can do at home will do the job niccely. There are lots of examples you can watch for free on Youtube and TikTok. If this isn’t your thing that’s okay! Going out for short walks is just as valuable. Grab your favourite runners and listen to either an upbeat playlist or your favourite podcast. You’ll instantly start to feel better.
