Raidió Rí Rá is a valued partner at The National Student Media Awards and we are so excited that they will be sponsoring the ‘Iriseoireach trí Ghaeilge – Raidió’ award at this year’s awards!
Established in 2008 during tSeachtain na Gaeilge, Raidió Rí Rá is a radio station for young people playing all the latest music from the charts and broadcasting completely through the medium of Irish. It has worked with and featured renowned artists such as Bell-x 1, Heathers, Glen Hansard and The Riptide Movement.
The station broadcasts 24 hours a day and is headed by the Raidió X Teoranta with support from Conradh na Gaeilge. They receive their funding from the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht through Ciste na Gaeilge.
We are delighted that Raidió Rí Rá is partnering with us on this award, and can’t wait to see all the wonderful entries from this year’s crop of student media producers.
